Suhail Industrial Holding Group inaugurated the “NASK Geotextile Factory” at an official ceremony attended by a number of businessmen from within and outside Qatar and the employees of the Group, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in the industrial area.
The NASK Geotextile Factory is considered one of the newest factories in the region and the first of its kind in the state of Qatar. The latest types of production lines have been selected to ensure high quality of the final product according to Qatari and international standards, with the production line being fully automated. Its components were manufactured in four different European countries before being assembled and shipped to Qatar.
With an annual production capacity of approximately 8000 tons, the NASK Geotextile Factory will be able to fully meet the needs of the local market. This factory and its products have been selected to meet the growing demand in the Qatari market, in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, in addition to benefiting from export opportunities to global markets.
The production line at the factory is based on polypropylene and polyester for manufacturing non-woven geotextiles, weighing between 70 and 1200 grams per square meter. These textiles can be used in a variety of applications, including infrastructure projects, green areas, and waterproofing works.
The opening of the NASK Geotextile Factory is an important step towards enhancing industrial capabilities in Qatar and achieving self-sufficiency for infrastructure projects through national products, providing innovative and high-quality solutions to both local and global markets.
The group opened Suhail Metal Castings Factory last month in the Al Afja Industrial Area and is preparing to open a series of factories during this year 2024.
